Certified Furniture Repair is owned and operated by Anthem residents Keith and Janice Standerfer, husband and wife for 26 years and partners in the furniture restoration field for equally as long.

Keith began building and finishing cabinets with his father over 40 years ago in Hammond, Illinois and carried that valuable experience into the refinishing and restoration field in 1980 when the Minuteman Restoration Company of Waterloo, Wisconsin certified him and Janice as Antique Restoration Specialists after several years of ongoing education and shortly thereafter completed Mohawk Finishing Products' Leather and Vinyl workshops to allow them to add leather and vinyl repair to their repertoire.

In 2003 Keith and Janice moved to Anthem, Arizona from central Illinois where they continue to pursue their education in the furniture restoration field by attending Mohawk workshops in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as well as in Mesa, Arizona, in January, 2004, in order to stay abreast of the new techniques in the ever changing furniture restoration field.
